Let the mo grow begin

Andrew Forbes
Right at the last minute we welcome two rookies, Andrew Forbes and Dr. Chris Fortier, to the Mostashed Hairiers. Although a rookie to the team, Chris is no rookie to the knowledge base behind prostate cancer. It's great to have you on the team, Chris and Andrew.

Well, the Movember growth on upper lips has begun. Here is a reminder of THE RULES.

The team Grows by Two

Greg Forbes
Welcome back, Greg Forbes. On his Movember page Greg tells us that his motivation is: To stylishly change the face of Men's health, and keep my upper lip from freezing.

Michel Boily
I am very pleased to tell you that we have a fresh new face on the team in Michel Boily, someone who has become a good family friend over the past few years. Michel's motivation is: Over the past 20 years, I lost 3 friends to prostate cancer and know at least one who was operated for it in the past year. I know it can be detected and beat, as long as men accept to take care of themselves and ensure early detection is possible. Awareness is crucial - let's grow to change the world!

The team is really starting to take shape. Tally Ho!

The Two Million Mark Has Been Passed
Internationally more than $2,000,000 has been raised this Movember and Canada is still leading the pack with more than $750,000 raised. The CIBC team under Steve Losty has raised more than $51,000. More strength to your mo's Bro's!

More than a million dollars donated already - Canada leading

The month of Movember has not even officially started and contributions and donations have already exceeded $1,000,000.  That is awesome. I'm also pleased to tell you that Canada is leading the pack with donations in excess of $347,000 at the time of this post.

The Mo Stashed Hairiers are lagging, but not for long. Come along me hearties! Tally-ho!

You can follow how the mo money is coming in by clicking on the link, How is Canada Doing? in the pane on the right.

Wayne Hudson Is Back

Wayne Hudson
This is one Bro eager to go for the mo grow. I haven't even sent out the invites to join the team yet (I know, I'm a slacker) and Wayne has already registered and signed up for the Mo Stashed Hairiers. Welcome Mo Bro Wayne, it's great to have you back.

Here is a neat video of Canadian rugby player Adam Kleeberger getting ahead of the game by having people sponsor him, firstly, to shave his beard off and then to sponsor him to grow a stache for the great Movember cause.

Remember, Remember the Month of Movember

Remember, remember the month of Movember
Fun with Mo reason
For this is the season
For lips to grow stubble
So efforts can double
That cancer gets whipped
By those hairy lipped
And their sponsors who give
To the scientists who live
For the day when they find out the way
After all we've endured
That cancer gets cured.
